Gartland House is run by husband and wife team Oliver and Clodagh Gibson. Having grown up watching his parents run Monaghan’s largest self-catering business, Mahon Farmhouse, Oliver had an awareness of hospitality from an early age.

Oliver combines years of knowledge and experience with a thirst to bring something new and unique to the tourism industry in Monaghan. A newly built traditional stone cottage, Gartland House is finished to an exceptional standard with a period style décor, all completed by Oliver who is also a skilled carpenter and craftsman. It is located in a private, peaceful countryside setting just a few miles from main local towns Ballybay and Cootehill. We also operate a courtesy car service so guests can enjoy the character of the local nightlife without worry.
